Design Features

Characteristics:

Air atomizing nozzles use compressed air or gas to produce an accurately controlled liquid dispersion in applications where a conventional liquid nozzle would not be suitable.

The wide-angle round air cap produces a spray cluster combined from 6 round holes. After the liquid and gas are mixed inside, the mixed fluids are sprayed at the same time through the six holes. The spray cluster is combined to form a large fog when the liquid is diverged to a certain distance.

The liquids of wide-angle round air atomizing nozzles are supplied by pressure. Compared with the narrow-angle round spray, there is a bigger spray angle, a larger flow output and a faster liquid transfer speed. Obtaining fine atomization is done by increasing the air pressure or lowering the liquid pressure.

Wide-angle round air atomizing nozzles are widely used for humidification, cooling, air pollution control, coating processes, lubrication, curing, chemical dispersion, and many other uses.

Construction:

  • Multi-piece body with 6-hole round air cap
  • Liquid supplied by pressure fed and internally mixed
  • The models listed are machined from bar stock
  • Standard materials are PVC, PVDF, PTFE, brass, 303SS, 304SS and 316SS
  • All models are available in 1/8" and 1/4" female threads either BSPP or NPS

Typical Application:

  • Lubrication
  • Incineration
  • Foam control
  • Chemical processing
  • Continuous casting
  • Humidification and cooling
  • Flue gas desulphurization
  • Cooling castings and moulds
